Dear Preserve Graydon Coalition Members,
I am writing to let you know that I am stepping down as Co-Chair of the Preserve Graydon Coalition. As you can well imagine, the time and effort that was required to stop the ever increasing threat of Graydon from being demolished was all encompassing. Being both a mother and a teacher, I made a lot of personal and professional sacrifices in order to protect our natural, sandy and spacious Graydon from becoming just another municipal concrete pool.
I have absolutely no regrets, and I am glad that I stepped forward and took the initiative to start the Preserve Graydon Coalition. Meeting Marcia Ringel and Alan Seiden was the best thing that could have happened to me and to the Preserve Graydon Coalition. Their role in saving Graydon goes above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.
It is true that Graydon is in a much better place than it was at this time last year, but vigilance and involvement in keeping this Village icon intact will always be necessary. I will continue to stay involved, but I can no longer give the time and responsibility that is required from a leadership role. That is why I am so grateful that Marcia and Alan are willing to continue as leaders of the Preserve Graydon Coalition. I know that I am leaving the Preserve Graydon Coalition in capable hands.
Thank you so much for your support this past year. Remember to stay ever vigilant. We can never take Graydon for granted again.
Sincerely and Swimmingly,
Suzanne Kelly
