The Preserve Graydon Coalition
Diving into this summer’s third spectacular month at Graydon
Plenty of beach weather ahead
Ping-pong, volleyball, basketball, beach paddle ball, horseshoes, croquet, shuffleboard, badminton, decks of cards, stacks of board games, dominoes, lending library—oh yes, and swimming, too. It’s all included with a Graydon badge, and all the games are new or improved this year. What—haven’t bought your badge yet? How to join Graydon Pool

A second pro Graydon editorial in The Record
You may recall the May 21 editorial in The Record that concluded, “Preserve Graydon Pool.” A few weeks ago, a follow-up editorial pleased us very much:

Story Time is a success story

Thanks to the Coalition, beloved story time is back, and the kids have been loving it. When “It’s story time!” is announced over the P.A. system, a cry of “YAY!” rings out around the pool. We’ve had great press from Patch.com and The Record.

On Thursday, August 5, at 2:00, Sally Brandes will read a story about ducklings hatched at the Celery Farm in Allendale and teach a game.

The following Thursday, Ridgewood Day Camp director Mel Powers, interviewed in the video below, will read The Rainbow Fish and lead a related craft activity.

Day campers say Graydon Pool is “totally awesome”—“it rocks!”

Coming to Graydon soon? You’ll agree with the day camp kids that it’s awesome.

Swimmingly,
