Wellinghorst sworn in

On Friday, November 12, Stephen Wellinghorst (with hand raised in photo at right) was sworn in by Mayor Keith Killion as a member of the Village Council.

The Coalition endorsed Steve's candidacy in the special Village Council election on November 2. His landslide victory demonstrates once again the significance of grassroots groups in local elections.

Steve will attend his first Village Council meeting as a Councilman on December 1. His term, completing the late Anne Zusy's, runs through June 2012.

Ridgewood's newest Councilman has firmly asserted that he will do his utmost to preserve and improve Graydon.

There's still time to order personalized cards

...for Christmas or whatever holiday you choose, featuring a reproduction of Dorothy Warren's delightful painting of ice skaters at Graydon on a Sunday afternoon. This year you can order as few as 50. Supply your own message and, if desired, your own digital photos and black or colored type at no extra charge. Work directly with our printer and pick up in Hawthorne. The price is excellent!

Or purchase non-personalized cards (sold in packs of 10) for "thank-yous," get-well cards, and other notes. They've been very popular.

Buy the cards (posters, too) at GraydonStore.org or in person (blank cards only) at Capital One Bank, 9 E. Ridgewood Ave.

Suzanne Kelly steps down

Although Suzanne has retired from her position as co-chair to focus on family and career, her heart remains with Graydon and she continues to work for Coalition initiatives. The Coalition and Village owe Suzanne a great debt for having conceived of and named this group and worked steadfastly toward its goals. A message from Suzanne Kelly

Many exciting projects are in the works. Your donation will help the Coalition to achieve its goals. Thank you.

Swimmingly,

Marcia Ringel and Alan Seiden
